Artist in Residence – Magali Nougarede – Bulletin # 2

My poly-tunnel corner / artist-studio is filling up rapidly with exciting stuff.

There is:

  • a piano, to play music to the plants
  • 5 recycled chairs
  • a supermarket shopping basket, that fits very satisfyingly on the gridded floor mat of the poly-tunnel (see picture)
  • an empty plastic bag of Merlin’s Magic peat free green compost , which puzzles me deeply as to its environmental credentials (peat free – good/plastic equals not so good?)
  • a book titled ‘Carnations Today’ , a must read for anyone seeking to update their horticultural knowledge

The big question is what amazing piece of art can I create with this?

Till next time…
