A 2-DAY PROJECT transforming a substantial part of DOLERW PARK.

Working with the community to:

  • Create a new social and visual zone
  • Adapt green land use for growing
  • Explore new ways of civic land management
  • Create a more social and biodiverse space

Come and work with socially-engaged artist OWEN GRIFFITHS and the team to create this exciting environmental space in the landscape of the town.

We are working with Powys County Council and Newtown Town Council by letting a large area of the park go wild, designing a walkway through the landscape which will be cut to create meeting and discussion spaces. We will also be planting a series of smaller meadows with biodiversity-focused mix of wildflowers.

Throughout the summer workshops and gatherings will also be held in the space to accompany the exhibition flora.

Dates: 19th May Time: 10am to 3pm Where: Meet at Oriel Davies

A light lunch will be provided each day and plenty of tea and coffee. Travel costs will be reimbursed.
